Our story

Hi, I’m Pietro.

I’m a documentary filmmaker from Italy, and I’ve always been interested in telling stories through images that feel honest, considered and deeply human.

My relationship with weddings started almost by accident, filming the weddings of my friends. There were no wedding planners, no picture-perfect venues, no carefully staged productions. Just people, relationships, friends, families and all the things that make a wedding truly unique. Sometimes there were plastic cups and not a single flower in sight.

And that’s where I realised what I really wanted to capture: not the idea of a perfect wedding, but what actually happens when all the people you love come together in one place. From there, word of mouth did the rest. First friends of friends, then couples who discovered my work online and connected with the way I tell stories. What started as a small personal project gradually became Wedding Cinema Studio.

As the work grew, so did the team. We went from filming just a handful of weddings a year to nearly 20, and eventually more than 30. But along the way, we realised something important: for us, a wedding film can never become a formula. Every wedding has its own energy, rhythm and story. And to truly capture those things, we need time — time to observe, to listen, to be present, and then, most importantly, to shape the film with the care it deserves. That’s why today we consciously choose to film a limited number of weddings each year.

We don’t simply want to document a day. We want to create a film that, years from now, can take you right back there: to the people, the voices, the laughter, the music and all those little moments you may not even have had time to notice. Every film is personally selected, edited and crafted by us, with an approach that is authentic, cinematic and personal.

Because in the end, we don’t want to tell the story of what a wedding is supposed to look like. We want to tell the story of yours.
